Proxy mode takes a different approach: Happ spins up a local proxy server built on Xray-core, and only the traffic deliberately aimed at it — a particular browser or apps set to use that proxy — is what actually passes through. That comes in handy when you'd rather reroute a handful of programs instead of the entire device, and without bringing up a system-wide VPN tunnel.
When proxy wins out over VPN
